Lu Fang, Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, Tsinghua University


Dr. Lu Fang is currently an Associate Professor in Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI), Tsinghua University. She received Ph.D from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2011, and B.E. from University of Science and Technology of China in 2007, respectively. Dr. Fang's research interests include computational photography and 3D vision. Dr. Fang used to receive NSFC Excellent Young Scholar Award, Best Student Paper Award in ICME 2017, Finalist of World’s First 10K Best Paper Award in ICME 2017, Finalist of Best Paper Award in ICME 2011 etc. Dr. Fang is currently IEEE Senior Member.

Shengjin Wang, Department of Electronics, Tsinghua University


Dr. Shengjin Wang is a professor at Tsinghua University. His research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition, object detection, and deep learning. Dr. Wang is currently Senior Member of IEEE. He won the Award of the first place of UAV target recognition in ECCV 2018, and won the best performance on Vehicles detection in KITTI, face detection in FDDB, face recognition in Megaface. He proposed three large authoritative datasets of Person ReID: iLIDS-VID, market-1501 and MARS, the total downloads reach 13,600 times.

Guiguang Ding, Department of Software, Tsinghua University


Ding Guiguang is an associate professor in Department of Software, Tsinghua University. He received his Ph.D. from Xidian University in 2004. He is mainly engaged in research work related to multimedia information retrieval and management, including multimedia content understanding, mass image and video retrieval, social media data retrieval and mining, etc. In 2010, he won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2007, he won the second prize of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. On August 2, 2019, he was selected into the list of applicants recommended by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2019.

Qionghai Dai, Department of Automation, Tsinghua University


Dr. Qionghai Dai is currently a professor in the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, and an adjunct professor in the School of Life Science, Tsinghua University. Dr. Dai is also an acadiician of Chinese Acadiy of Engineering. Dr. Dai is expertised in computational photography and stereoscopic vision, and has made pioneering and foundational progress in stereoscopic video and streaming media technologies, and their engineering applications. He received China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists in 2005, and was awarded Yangtze river scholars Distinguished Professor in 2009. He was the chief scientist of a "973" project in 2010, and selected in National Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talent Project in 2014. He was awarded first prize of National Technology Invention Award (rank first) in 2012, and second prize of National Technology Invention Award (rank first) in 2008.

David J. Brady, Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University
Visiting Professor, Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute, Tsinghua University


Dr. David J. Brady is the Michael J. Fitzpatrick Professor of Photonics in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke Kunshan University and director the Duke Imaging and Spectroscopy Program and the Duke Kunshan University Camputer Laboratory. Brady's research focuses on computational optical imaging. DISP built the world’s first terrestrial gigapixel camera (this work was systiatically introduced in the article titled with "Multiscale gigapixel photography", Nature journal 2012), through the Camputer Laboratory Dr. Brady is leading development of increasingly compact, power efficient and intelligent gigapixel cameras. Brady is also Chief Scientist of Aqueti, which manufactures gigapixel cameras. He is a Fellow of IEEE, SPIE and OSA. He won SPIE Dennis Gabor Award for the development of compressive holographic and tomographic imaging systis in 2013.
